However, everyone wants healthy, glowing skin, underneath their makeup or to showcase on its own. Taking care of your skin is a must, especially with Tallahassee’s cold weather. If you don’t take care of your skin when the temperature is dropping, your skin could become dry and peel. Here are a few tips to get your skin glowing like Zendaya’s. During COVID-19, there has been a trend of reaching for skincare instead of makeup. Kelsey Simone and Margot Lee are two Instagram influencers who are following behind “skinimalism”. Kelsey advertises the importance of moisturizing while Margot expresses her love for exfoliating. Both girls support and advertise Sephora’s clean affordable skincare collection (which I also love). Two of my favorite skincare products to achieve glowing skin from the line include: Besides hydrating the skin through a moisturizer or revamping radiance through a vitamin C and E serum, your daily actions affect your skin. Your stress levels, hormones, and what you eat are huge benefactors to your skin’s overall appearance. According to The Dermstore’s blog post “Why Is Self-Care Important? Plus, 9 Ways to Do It Like a Pro.”, taking the time to create a self-care routine and practicing it daily, “reduces stress, increases energy throughout the day, adds higher levels of productivity, and enhances intuition and emotional awareness” (Kaitlyn Willow). Taking care of yourself will help lead to radiant skin that you can embrace. So, clean your makeup brushes, sleep well, and don’t forget to drink your 8 glasses of water to maintain refreshed skin from within! See you next week!
