12 - 3 - 30 treadmill trend

Youtuber Lauren Giraldo got her fame as Princess Lauren on Vine. However, now she is known for another thing: her treadmill routine. Her routine blew up on Tik Tok and YouTube and consists of putting her treadmill on an incline of 12 and a speed of 3 for a duration of 30 minutes. She does it about 5 times a week.

Personally, I used to stay away from the treadmill at the gym because I didn’t want to attempt running since I knew that would be a struggle for me. I never thought about speed walking on the treadmill, but now, I look forward to going to the gym and going straight to the treadmill to do 12-3-30. Like Lauren says and through my own experience, it is an easy start to get into the gym and expand, even though the exercise itself is demanding for beginners. At the gym, I have seen multiple people doing 12-3-30 at the same time.
Walking at an incline has tons of physical and mental benefits. Some of the benefits include toning muscles, building endurance, new motivation, feeling accomplished, strengthening health, and aiding to cardiovascular functions. According to Mayo Click, it is important to “get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week.” With Lauren’s method, that is more than enough cardio while reaping tons of other benefits.
