A window can be a peaceful, dreamy element in a bedroom, kitchen, living room, and more. It can cheer you up and be a little something that brightens up your day. And let’s be real, we all need a little more happy these days. Whether it’s plants or pictures, window sills are a place with endless possibilities.
So how can you spice up your own window?
Plants! A personal favorite of mine at the moment. I definitely do not have a green thumb, so I have avoided plants for the longest time. However, after scrolling through beautiful, lively plants on Pinterest and Instagram, I couldn’t resist trying it out for myself. Succulents and other easy-to-take-care of plants are amazing. Plants bring life inside - They can even improve indoor air quality and increase your productivity.
Scents and Smells:
Warming, relaxing candles are the perfect addition to a window. Add some good smells and good vibes for those late night study sessions with some natural soy candles. Shop some of my favorite candles and candle holders HERE.
Essential oil diffusers are another great option I love. Everyone could use some aromatherapy. Lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus essential oils are some of my go-to scents that help me unwind.
A window sill is an ideal place to display keepsakes and memories. Have a favorite picture of you and your family? Put it on the window sill! Antique family heirloom? Window sill. Favorite books? Window sill!
Make your window your happy place, make it a place you love to look at. I hope these ideas gave you some inspiration to add a little something new to your home!
