THE "IT" BAGS OF 2022

With a new year comes the rise of old renditions becoming popular again and unique shapes taking hold on the fashion community. My prediction is that 2022 will be the year of the unexpected when it comes to bags. Logos and traditional silhouettes being swapped out for a more distinctive look of bag. Untraditional is in, so say goodbye to simple leather and hello to buckles and flaps.  

Balenciaga  Le Cagole XS Shoulder Bag in Blue 

This unique bag has been seen on the likes of influencers like Matilda Djerf, and recently promoted in a campaign with Kim Kardashian. This bag comes with many different materials such as crocodile embossing, but mostly featuring calfskin leather and aged silver hardware. They created a sturdy bag that lasts.  

Balenciaga  Classic City Shoulder Bag 

This bag that was first made popular in the 2010’s has come back, with Balenciaga making a new rendition of it. However, snagging an original off of resale sites is the best way to get your hands on it. The bag deemed the best “slouchy bag” was seen on everyone in the 2000’s; from Miley Cyrus to Lindsey Lohan. This bag in pink, white, and of course, black, was truly the bag of the decade. 

Loewe Amazona

With Loewe being more underrated and less talked about outside the fashion community, this year will definitely be the year that they attract a larger audience. With their timeless silhouettes and logo that screams quiet flex, the Loewe Amazona is the way to go for a cute Boston bag that can be carried on the fly.  

Hermes Kelly

Birkin's have never gone out of style. However, with the resurgence of Hermes muse, Jane Birkin, the Birkin, more specifically the Kelly, has come back in full force. With most people using it as more of a shoulder bag, gone are the days where a Kelly is being styled to be posh. Now Kelly’s are being styled in a more casual way, with more celebrities wearing them with everyday outfits. Going from a night-out bag that only sees the light of day every once in awhile, to a just running=errands bag. With that price tag, most of us can only dream.
